A taste of the high life in Horsham

On Thursday 17th August more than 100 people from Horsham and the surrounding district attended a free event at Highwood Mill, a stylish new development for the over 55s.

The open afternoon, held in Ingram’s restaurant, offered afternoon tea and cocktails crafted for the occasion.

The room was filled with songs performed by a Rat Pack tribute, which got the event into full swing and the attendees up and dancing. Guests were given personal tours of the luxurious apartments at Highwood Mill and they were also able to explore additional facilities including an on-site hair and beauty salon, library, residents’ lounge, and activities studio.

Completing the afternoon, the residents organised a raffle which raised £87.50, which will go towards a day trip in early 2018.

Highwood Mill Manager, Aimee Horne said: “We were delighted to welcome so many people to our special event, and offer them a taste of the high life at Highwood Mill.

“The development is exclusively for over 55s and offers outstanding facilities, outings, and a range of 24-hour professional support and care services on-site for those who require them. Highwood Mill enables people to live independently, whilst also being part of a wonderful community.

“The event was such a success and so very well received. We are looking forward to hosting another experience afternoon in the near future.”
