Mike Reid of Reid & Dean Chartered Surveyors and Estate Agents, sponsors of Eastbourne Half marathon, visited Eastbourne Lifeboats recently to present a cheque for £1000 which had been raised during this year’s event.
Mike was given a conducted tour of Eastbourne’s all-weather lifeboat Diamond Jubilee before presenting the cheque to Operations Manager Carl Pocock and crewmen Dave Needham and Dean Parker.
Eastbourne lifeboats were one of four local charities to benefit from this popular event which attracts hundreds of runners of all abilities. Organisers are hoping the 2017 event (entries are already being accepted) will break the 2000 entry barrier.
