Eastbourne lifeboat rescues cruiser

Eastbourne all-weather lifeboat launched on Monday morning to rescue a 30ft cruiser which had suffered engine and hydraulic failure

The cruiser with four people on board had left Sovereign Harbour earlier for a quick trip round the bay in glorious weather. Unfortunately a drive belt failed on the engine which affected the cooling and steering systems. The vessel was taken under tow back to the marina locks.
