This Mothers Day 1000 women will die in pregnancy and childbirth. That’s over 358,000 mothers in one year. Nearly all will be from the poorest countries in the World.

Maternity Worldwide is a Brighton based charity with a vision of a world where all women can give birth safely. Maternity Worldwide works with the very poorest women and families in the most remote rural areas of Africa where the need and risk is highest. Most maternal deaths in childbirth can be prevented fairly easily and at relatively low cost.

Over the last 10 years Maternity Worldwide has enabled more than 20,000 women to give birth safely.
This Mothers Day you can help save lives in childbirth by buying the gift of a Safe Birth Certificate from Maternity Worldwide for your mother for just £15.

Your gift will help to pay to train and equip local midwives and doctors, provide women with health information so they know when to seek help and help women set up businesses so they have the money they need to travel to a health clinic during pregnancy.

The gift of a Safe Birth Certificate for your mother will continue long after the flowers have died and the chocolates have been eaten. Your mother will receive a gift that will make a lasting difference to the life of a mother and her baby in a developing country.

The Ultimate Mothers Day Gift comprises an individualised Safe Birth Certificate inscribed with your mother’s name along with a case study of one of the mothers whose life has been changed by your gift.

The certificate will be sent out first class direct to your mother so that she receives it in time for Mothers Day on 18 March 2012.

Please do support this great charity and help save lives in childbirth. You can order a certificate at:
