Fun-Size Nutcracker Offers a Festive Ballet Treat for Kids

Looking for a traditional Christmas show suitable for the whole family or for a condensed production for a dance mad child who is too young to sit quietly through a full-blown ballet, then The Nutcracker by Let’s All Dance is the show for you!

Following sell-out shows last year, this 45-minute performance of arguably Tchaikovsky’s best-loved ballet returns with shows at The Hawth, Crawley at the most festive time of the year – the week before Christmas. Journey through the magical night with Clara and her Nutcracker Prince, meet the Mouse King and join the Sugar Plum Fairy in the beautiful Land of Sweets. Retaining all the much-loved characters and music, but in a kid-sized version, the show engages all ages and introduces little ones to the stunning magic of classical ballet.

Devised by Let’s All Dance to be accessible for young children, audiences of all ages will be enchanted by the magical dancers, stunning costumes and clear, easy-to-follow story-telling. There will also be a post-show photo opportunity at every performance. The Nutcracker is produced by Let’s All Dance, which was founded by former professional dancer Orit Sutton in 2010, providing dance classes across London, and the development of UK wide dance parties soon followed.

Using both her skills in dance and theatre and her experience as a mother, Orit produced the company’s first professional show, The Princess & The Frog, in 2013. The success of the production led to two more classical ballets, The Magic Word and The Nutcracker, and 2015 saw two Hip Hop productions and a further ballet, The Owl & The Pussycat, added to the repertoire.

Orit Sutton knows that the beauty, grace and strength of professional dancers can be truly inspirational and believes that every child should have access to high quality productions of live dance. The shows produced by Let’s All Dance are educational, engaging and extremely good fun. They are suitable for all ages, boys and girls, and those with or without special needs.

Immerse yourselves in the spectacular world of professional dance when The Nutcraker appears at The Hawth, Crawley from Thursday 21st to Saturday 23rd December with daily performances at 1pm & 3.30pm. Tickets are available online at or through the box office on 01293 553636 with more information at
