Gelato Gusto Receives 3 Great Taste Award Seals of Approval

Brighton based artisan gelateria, Gelato Gusto is delighted to receive a 3 Awards from the Great Taste Awards, 2014. 3 Stars were awarded for its Black Truffle and Honey Gelato, 2 Stars for its Lychee & Rose Sorbetto and 1 star for its Pear and Parmesan Sorbetto. As 1 of only 153 out of 10,000 entries to be awarded the prestigious 3 Star Award, Gelato Gusto owner and previous BAFTA Award winning producer and director Jon Adams comments, “We are delighted to receive such a highly sought after and well respected seal of approval. It is an honour to have our hard work so well received and recognised. The Great Taste Awards are the food industry equivalent to the BAFTAs!”

Known for its innovative and experimental flavour combinations, the Great Taste Awards 3 Star Award winning Black Truffle and Honey Gelato has been created using honey from the Adams family apiary based in Pitton, Wiltshire, giving the winning entry an extra special personal seal of approval.

Judged by over 400 of the most demanding palates belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, members of the Women’s Institute, farmers and a host of food writers and journalists, Great Taste is widely acknowledged as the most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.  When a product wears a Great Taste label it carries a badge of honour but more importantly, the Great Taste logo is a signpost to a wonderful tasting product – and hundreds of judges have worked hard to discover the very best through hours and hours of blind-tasting a total of 10,000 different foods and drink.
