Half Term Time Travel Fun for Children

BAFTA nominated BBC presenter Andy Day, star of CBeebies’ Andy’s Wild Adventures and his comedy partner Mike James create a new half-term adventure at Worthing’s Connaught Theatre with their show Andy and Mike’s Tick Tock Time Machine on October 29th at 11.30am.

Following their hit show, Andy and Mike’s Big Box of Bananas, the pair combine irrepressible energy with interactive fun in the new family-friendly show which sees them playing in the garden of their ‘fun pad’ when they discover a door which was locked many years ago by their great, great, great grandfather Wally Bum.

Inside they find many inventions including a mysterious time machine. The time machine sends them on a quest to collect the things they need from the past and the future but they must ensure they achieve their quest within a set time otherwise they will be trapped in the mists of time forever.

The high-energy pair have known each other since they were 10 years old when they developed a bond as a result of their shared love of performing.  Over the years Andy and Mike have performed various comedy sketches, been involved in local radio and starred as Annie and Frannie in productions of Cinderella.

In recent years Andy has become known for presenting children’s television channel CBeebies and fronts his own show Andy’s Wild Adventures which enabled him and Mike to create the new live show, drawing inspiration from films such as The Goonies, Back to the Future and Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

Andy says: “We love performing together and the audience reaction to our shows is amazing. The parents love it just as much as the kids, and there’s tons of laughter to be heard echoing around the auditorium! It’s a real show for all the family. It’s silly, fast-paced and playful and we hope it encourages kids to go home and reinvent their own playtime.”

Andy and Mike’s Tick Tock Time Machine appears at the Connaught Theatre, Union Place, Worthing. BN11 1LG on Tuesday October 29th at 11.30am. Tickets prices are: £12.50, family of four £42, Friends of Worthing Theatres £11.50 and can be purchased from the box office on 01903 206 206 or online at www.worthingtheatres.co.uk
