What happens When Your Number is Up?
‘I want to be number one.’ said One.
‘But you are.’ Said two, ‘and I am your number two.’
Three is going to feel odd and four will be even.
One said, ‘I can be divisible by three and four.’
‘You’ve got One over me.’ Said Two, ‘I can only be divisible into Four.’
‘I’m not over you,’ said One.
‘I didn’t mean that.’ Said Two.
Two into Four equals Two.
‘We can’t have Two Two’s’ said One.
‘Well! You have a problem.’ Said Two
‘Why?’ said One.
Two said, ‘If you divide yourself into any number, there’ll be Trillions and Trillions and Millions and Millions and Thousands and Thousands of Ones.’
One looks glum. ‘I suppose my number has come up.
