Tunbridge Wells residents Lynette Matthews and James Pickard tied the knot last weekend – and to celebrate their special day they, along with 35 of their wedding guests (who all wore Christmas jumpers), took to the ice at the Royal Tunbridge Wells Ice Rink in Calverley Grounds, Tunbridge Wells.
The wedding took place at Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 6th December and, at the conclusion of the wedding meal, the guests walked down from the hotel, through the park, to the rink for 6.00pm, where the happy couple skated and mixed with members of the public – many of whom couldn’t quite believe their eyes.
Lynette says “ We absolutely loved the ice-skating as did all the guests who joined in an, even the ones who watched had a great time, so thank you to the Royal Tunbridge Wells ice rink for making our day the best ever.” The couple are now heading off on honeymoon to Austria to make the most of the Christmas markets.
