Both Eastbourne lifeboats were launched late yesterday afternoon (Sun 27 Jan) to assist Police and Coastguard officers after a car was driven over the cliffs at Beachy Head

Sussex and Hampshire coastal RNLI lifeboat volunteers launch more than 700 times in year of poor weather

Volunteer crew members at RNLI lifeboat stations on the Sussex and Hampshire coast had another busy year of rescues in 2012, launching 763 times and rescuing 726 people.

Charity Needs volunteer Collectors

Marie Curie Cancer Care is appealing for people in East and West Sussex to donate an hour of their time this March, to hand out the charity’s iconic daffodil pin in return for donations, as part of the charity’s Great Daffodil Appeal. The appeal is Marie Curie’s biggest fundraiser which encourages everyone to give a donation and wear a daffodil pin during March.
