The last week of May is a massively busy time for Worthing’s Theatres, with a varied programme to suit all the family. A new adaptation of George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984 starts off the week, and will be performed by Sell a Door Theatre Company at the Connaught Theatre on May 24 and 25.

Inspired by the classic films, Metropolis (pictured below) and Brazil, Cirque Eloize’s show is set in a dystopian future where people  are oppressed and Big Brother is definitely watching you. The show opens with a man sat at a desk, swamped with paperwork  which increases inexorably (something we can all relate to).
