SHEIK RATTLE AND ROLL!

It’s so pleasing to hear that someone has got their own way with what they want like painting the domes on Eastbourne Pier gold.  The Eastbourne Council as we know work for themselves and not for the good of the people.  They change laws at a drop of a hat but forget to inform the public.  Something you thought was legal today that was ten, twenty or maybe thirty years ago has been changed under a cloak of secrecy.  The Eastbourne Council members are so out of touch with the public it verges on the ridiculous.

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

The road between the traffic lights at the top of Eldon Road turning left onto the A27 past the roundabout and a little way up the hill has had the speed limit changed and people still charge along at 40 mph, little knowing that it has changed to 30mph – but is there a reminder of the speed change?– of course not.  Voted by Central Office in London East Sussex County Council is one of the worst run Councils in England even if they contradict these allegations – all I can say is their noses must be growing longer and longer.

Beverington Road must be the Holeyst road in Eastbourne.  If the holes get any deeper we will experience miniature swimming pools and it won’t do you or your car axles any good if you happen to plunge with a belly-flop into a hole that is deeper than you thought and could send you to a garage for costly repairs.  If you know of a road in Eastbourne with deeper holes – please let me know.

EASTBOURNE – THE DOWNS

Living on the Downs has benefits and pitfalls.  We are lucky enough to be about 300 feet above sea level and have views of Eastbourne, Willingdon, St. Leonards, Hastings and Dungeness on a clear day.  We can see the curve of the bay and sea.  We are surrounded by trees and that is my main concern since Eastbourne Council have disbanded Rangers who used to look after the Downs, it has come to my notice that trees in certain areas of the Downs are dying and have affected some trees in gardens that back onto the Downs.  One of my neighbours has four trees that have mysteriously begun to wilt and die.  His trees are in line with each other and they are different types of trees which is worrying as one by one they are beginning to perish.  It could be something to do with the soil that somehow has been poisoned or an airborne tree virus, but whatever it is, it needs to be investigated sooner than later.
