Six years on and still going strong

The Newhaven Enterprise Centre will be hosting a specially themed “Networking Hub” on 21^st November as it celebrates its 6^th Birthday.

Since opening its doors on 5^th November 2007, The Newhaven Enterprise Centre has gone from strength to strength, becoming home to over 100 businesses across a range of sectors and disciplines. There are currently 39 companies based in the centre, employing 145 people. Guest speaker at the Networking Hub is David Foster from David Foster Associates, and his presentation will be based on the theme “six years on, success and still growing strong“, reflecting on Newhaven’s business journey. He will also share the 20 traits and characteristics of successful businesses and entrepreneurs.

David has over 30 years’ experience in the fields of sales, customer care, training, management and recruitment, gained within a variety of key business and industry sectors. He is a proven and successful trainer, coach, and presenter, delivering a variety of sales, management, customer service and recruitment topics related to the business world in a professional, motivational and entertaining style.

Roxanne Haid, centre manager at the Basepoint operated business centre, comments: “We’re really looking forward to David’s presentation, and celebrating our 6^th Birthday with the local business community as well as our licensees – many of whom have been here since we opened. Despite the turbulent economic times, there is a successful and growing business community in Newhaven, and we’re glad to be a part of it!”

The Networking Hub is a free event to allow business people to hear informative speakers, meet likeminded entrepreneurs, and network in order to encourage business growth. The sixth Birthday event is taking place at Basepoint’s Newhaven Enterprise Centre on Thursday, 21^st November from 12 – 2pm.
