I just love this time of year! the sun shine, the longer evenings, the al fresco dining, and of course, the horse racing season, which is certainly a passion of mine. There is nothing better than getting all dressed up to bet on the racing, with a jug of Pimms on the go and your friends around you.
When I founded Utilise It link I had no idea I would be privileged enough to work with such amazing companies, and the diversity of day-to-day work is brilliant. One day I am sourcing props for the BBC for TV and film, the next, I am working with the likes of ARC racing, of which Fontwell Park Racing and Events are part of.
Fontwell Racecouse in Chichester have just become one of Utilise It’s Suppliers, and as with every supplier we sign up to our free finding service, we always want to find out about their business, because as I have found out many times, business always have many other strings to their bows!
After I spoke with Melanie Tafe, Events Exceutive at Fontwell, I was astounded at how many events they have there, and all the different types. The obvious one is the fixtures, but they do it with such a difference. Races days in aid of certain charities like Armed Forces day, Fullers Race Day, to name but a few.
The one that piqued my interest the most was a new event they were taking on, which is Mutiny Festival. This is the South Coast’s biggest Festival line up, taking place on the 18th and 19th July, where by 15,000 people will be descending upon Fontwell to see the likes of Idris Elba, Maverick Sabre, and Snoop Dogg!
