“Tower,Tower, Tomb” (part of G & S ballad from Yeomen of the Guard)

I suppose David Cameron’s lasting legacy is that he has achieved one of his aims in helping to close down some of the NHS departments because instead of supporting the NHS with an influx of much needed money, he urged local Councils in building WHITE ELEPHANTS.  Taking Brighton as an example of building a spindle with a movable enclosed platform up and down so that viewers can get a better vision of what Brighton looks like from the air at £46.2 Million. Now the Tax payers pay for the privilege of going on the darn thing for £15.00.  Just take a minute to think out the logic of building this hair-brained construction at the whim of a group of people who are supposed to be responsible Council Members who know that hospitals are having to close down some of their departments through lack of money – I call it irresponsible.

Now DC is retired from being Prime Minister and instead of giving his rich cronies certain gongs and knighthoods he should get those same rich cronies to support the hospitals so that they won’t have to close down departments dealing with MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, PAEDIATRICS, UROLOGY, RHEUMATOLOGY, DERMATOLOGY AND SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY.  It has been reported by the National press that due to the worst financial crisis in NHS history, some if not all, hospitals will have to close A & E’s, cuts to beds being available and GP Surgeries. It has been suggested that patients will get ghost appointments to be told how to treat themselves.

So if you fall out of a tree and break your leg, slap a couple of branches round your leg and tie it up with string and take two Paracetamol Tablets every four hours and hope for the best.

We all get old Mr. Cameron – even you!  Oh how forgetful I am!  I’ve just remembered you’ve got lots of money.  You can go abroad and get your treatment!
