Joseph has a Coat but Needs a Choir

Think of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and as well as the fantastic songs and well-known stars who have donned the coat of many colours you’ll no doubt think of the choir of children who take to the stage and sing their hearts out at every performance.

Joseph is coming to The Hawth in Crawley from Tuesday 2nd – Saturday 6th February 2016, and Sway Dance at The Hawth have been chosen by the shows producers to put together the children’s choir for Crawley.

Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs including Those Canaan Days, Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door To Me.

If you know someone aged 9 – 14 years who can sing and loves to perform, now is their chance to take to The Hawth stage in a professional production, alongside X-Factor winner Joe McElderry.

Auditions will take place at The Hawth Studio, Crawley on Sunday 6th December between 10am and 12.30pm (registration from 9.45am). Auditionees need to prepare a verse and chorus of any song and bring a backing track on CD or iPod.

Joe McElderry was just 18 when he won the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009 and immediately went straight to number one in the UK Singles Charts with his debut single The Climb. He has since gone on to have three top ten albums.

Bill Kenwright’s “amazing”, “superb”, “wonderful” and “brilliant” production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sparkling family musical continues on its record breaking tour in 2016, having sold to date an estimated 15 million tickets.

Tickets for the production are on sale now from The Hawth Box Office on 01293 553636 and at www.hawth.co.uk
