Naiomi wins Student of the Year Award

Naiomi Sargant has won the South Coast College Work Placed Learning student of the year award for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Naiomi joined Hastings Borough Council’s Development Management administration team in late 2014 on a one year apprenticeship for which she has won this award.

Cllr Kim Forward the council’s lead member for planning explained:
“At the end of her apprenticeship we were able to offer Naiomi a full time, permanent position with the team working on both planning application admin and as the Local Land and Property Gazetteer (LLPG) Street Naming and Numbering Assistant.

“Naiomi has done really well, not only to win this award but in carrying out her duties in her role with the council. She was the main contributor to the team winning a Gold Performance Award this year for our LLPG which was awarded by Geoplace who manage the national address gazetteer.

Well done Naiomi!”
