The legends of children’s TV, Dick and Dom are about to be unleashed, at the Royal Hippodrome Theatre in Eastbourne, in a show that promises to get the whole family on their feet. Their live performances, on Wednesday 16th August, will be full of madcap challenges and audience games that will guarantee to have you in stitches.
Packed full of entertainment, this high energy, hour long show is fully interactive with audience participation throughout, creating a competitive edge with Dick and Dom appearing in this boxing themed event. Boxing match ‘rounds’ run throughout the show and there are typical ‘Dick and Dom’ segments that fans of their TV shows are guaranteed to love.
Splitting the audience in two, Dick’s side verses Dom’s side, both sides compete against each other in a fast paced game of two halves with totally interactive games and a big dollop of their unique humour.
Having appeared on stage in London as King Arthur and Patsy in Monty Python’s Spamalot, Dick and Dom are also currently starring in the CBBC TV show, Appsolute Genius With Dick and Dom. The duo, who this year are celebrating 20 years as a double act and are famed for their mischievous antics, promise to bring the chaos usually reserved for the screen to the stage in a new live show that will prove to be un-missable.
Dick said: “We can’t wait to get going! It’s totally interactive. One half of the audience is against the other half, so everyone who comes along will get to be involved – Oh, and we can’t guarantee it won’t get a bit messy!”
Dom added: “We’ve been doing this show for five years now and it’s an absolute riot. Taking the controlled chaos of ‘Dick and Dom Live’ on the road will give audiences an experience they’ve never had before and will never forget!”
The duo have built a diverse portfolio of programming across different genres including the double BAFTA winning Dick & Dom in Da Bungalow, Diddy TV and The Legend of Dick & Dom (which received BAFTA nominations for all three series). Their science entertainment show Absolute Genius with Dick & Dom, for which they won the BAFTA for best presenters, is now filming it’s fifth series.
Dick and Dom will be live on stage at The Royal Hippodrome Theatre, Eastbourne and bringing their unique bundle of fun and anarchy to life on Wednesday 16th August at 11am and 2pm. Tickets cost from £11 and are available on 01323 80 20 20 or www.royalhippodrome.com
