Cole Porter’s Musical Comedy Sails Into Eastbourne

 

Cole Porter’s classic musical comedy Anything Goes sails into Eastbourne’s Congress Theatre from Tuesday 24th – Saturday 28th March in a sensational new production starring West End stars Debbie Kurup (The Bodyguard, Chicago, Sister Act) and Matt Rawle (Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Evita).

Featuring a full orchestra and a talented cast of 26, Porter’s uplifting masterpiece of song and dance features the much-loved songs I Get A Kick Out of You, You’re the Top, It’s De-Lovely and Anything Goes in a brand new production of the multi-award winning musical-comedy, which transports you back to the magical age of tap dancing and high society.

When Billy Crocker discovers that his heart’s desire, debutante heiress Hope Harcourt is engaged to an English aristocrat, he stows away aboard the S.S. American to win her back. Aided by a string of eccentric passengers on board the luxurious transatlantic liner, can this web of love be untangled before they reach Southampton?

The company also includes Hugh Sachs, best known to millions of TV viewers as Gavin in ITV1’s hit comedy Benidorm, and Jane Wymark, who played Joyce Barnaby in the hugely successful Midsomer Murders on ITV1.
