Celebrating his fourth book publication in under three years, “Life Scene in Verse” (very complimentarily reviewed by this paper), and fundraising in support of Help for Heroes, Laurie Wilkinson warmly invites and welcomes you to his event.
Come and meet Eastbourne’s prolific local poet Laurie Wilkinson (aka The Psychy Poet), now four times published in less than three years, as he celebrates his fourth book “Life Scene in Verse”.
Laurie has written his monthly column, complete with poems, for The Sussex Newspaper for eighteen months now, so come and chat to the “man behind the words and poems”……
Laurie will also be fundraising, collecting and promoting for the excellent charity Help for Heroes on the day, with a great raffle too. Up to 40% from all Laurie’s book sales and his “Write a Poem for YOU” service is donated to Help for Heroes as well.
In the relaxed and salubrious Lansdowne hotel there will be music, great company and chat, drinks and coffee if wanted, and of course Laurie can be asked about his wide variety of poems, (over 300 written in three years) along with his other writing, newspaper columns and local charity work.
Those two mischievous bears “Ted n Beth” Laurie writes about, and feature in many of his poems, will also be present for photos, hugs and maybe even a kiss if you’re lucky!
