Milton Jones Gets Daft in Worthing

Don’t miss the king of the comedy one-liners, Milton Jones, in The Temple of Daft at Worthing’s Assembly Hall on Thursday 19th November.

Since starting out in the mid 90’s, Milton Jones has been a star in the world of stand-up comedy. He won the Perrier comedy award for best newcomer in 1996 and from then on has never looked back, as he’s gone on to win awards left, right and centre!

Milton Jones can be found regularly on Mock the Week (BBC2), he has also appeared on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Live at the Apollo (BBC1) and he’s even headlined Dave’s One Night Stand (DAVE).

His last tour, On the Road, played to over 100,000 people live, and his 2015 tour, The Temple of Daft, is set to play to even more. Unlike his previous shows, in The Temple of Daft the bewildered comic threads together his hordes of smart puns with a daffy Indiana Jones-style plot, in a neat framework, which hundreds of the comics beautifully assembled pieces of wordplay can be hung on.

In 2011, Milton’s radio show won a silver Sony Award, as well as winning Chortle Headliner of the Year for his stand up. His radio show was also nominated for a Writers Guild Award in 2012, and he has just finished his tenth series on Radio Four.

Milton has also recorded three hugely successful live DVD’s, Milton Jones The Universe Tour. Part One – Earth, The Lion Whisperer and On the Road. He has also written a novel called Where Do Comedians Go When They Die? which was described by the crime writer and comedian Mark Billingham as “Hilarious, moving, and truthful. Finally a book that tells you what it’s really like to tell jokes for a living. And no-one tells jokes better than Milton Jones”.

If you’re looking for a night out that will leave you in stitches of laughter, look no further.

Milton Jones and The Temple of Daft appears at the Assembly Hall, Stoke Abbott Road, Worthing, West Sussex, BN11 1HQ on Thursday 19th November at 8.00pm Tickets, priced at £25.50, can be booked through the box office on 01903 206 206 or online at www.worthingtheatres.co.uk
