The Queen Extravaganza Returns to Worthing with New Guitarist

The official Queen tribute show produced by the original band’s legendary drummer, Roger Taylor, returns to Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre on September 23rd, following the success of the band’s recent trans-Atlantic tours, with a new guitarist added to their line-up.

The Queen Extravaganza is a seated concert created by original Queen band-mates, Roger Taylor and guitarist Brian May, to recreate the live experience of a Queen concert for new and long-standing fans. They most recently toured North America and Europe and have been joined by guitarist Nick Radcliffe who completes the band which features Marc Martel on vocals, Francois-Olivier Doyon on bass, Tyler Warren on drums and musical director Brandon Ethridge on keyboards.

Queen’s greatest hits are performed by the newly-formed band which was created by Roger Taylor as a result of almost 1,000 entries via an online talent search.  The video submissions for the contest generated over 10 million views around the globe and the band then made their TV debut on American Idol in 2012.

The staging and visual elements of the production were created by Mark Fisher who chose rare footage from Queen’s archives alongside newly-created imagery to enhance the concert. The performance includes more than 20 Queen classics drawn from the band’s back-catalogue of iconic hits including Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Radio Ga Ga and Killer Queen as well as other fan favourites.

Roger Taylor says: “The Queen Extravaganza is a new show specially designed to enable new fans, together with fans of old, to celebrate the music of Queen in a heart-stopping event. It’s very spectacular, it’s very visual, there are going to be some shocks and some tremendous surprises. It will be a rock celebration in the royal tradition.”

The Queen Extravaganza appears at the Pavilion Theatre, Marine Parade, Worthing. BN11 3PX on Tuesday September 23rd at 8pm. Tickets, priced at £25 are available from the box office on 01903 206206 or online at www.worthingtheatres.co.uk
