The Energy Show is a unique theatrical experience whose award-winning creative talent will build on the success of its original run to deliver a distinctive and universally appealing performance. Produced exclusively by Science Museum Live, The Energy Show tour will travel to over 30 UK venues including The Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells, The De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill and The Dome in Brighton.
Recognised by reviewers in 2013 as a ‘fantastic and brilliant, a must-see’, audiences will again have the opportunity to join futuristic science students Annabella and Phil as they race against time to prove their knowledge of energy through a series of live experiments. Featuring a virtual assistant named i-nstein and a steampunk workshop full of gadgets and chemicals, Annabella and Phil use liquid nitrogen, hydrogen rockets and electricity to create a dangerously exciting experience.
Directed and co-written by Martin Lamb, who has worked with English National Opera and the V&A, The Energy Show boasts a creative team who have collectively worked nationally and internationally on more than 500 shows, including productions on the West End and Broadway. The live show is suitable for all ages from 7+ years and is a must-see for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 students. Experiments and demonstrations include: Flaming methane bubbles, Flowers frozen solid by liquid nitrogen, Lights powered by Plasma Balls, A hair-raising Van de Graaff generator and Soaring hydrogen-filled rockets.
