Your Perspective of Self – Part II

Hello my fine and fabulous Fellows and Females!

We are at that time of year where we are all praying to the Goddess of Light and Love to push those buds upwards and start the Ritual of Spring! And Spring being the season of love, what better time to start our inventory of self and work on refining this fabulous creature that you are about to present to the world.

Last time, I told you I was going to give you some definitive clues and chart a course for you to follow to put you on the path to success in life and love. Well, get ready because here comes that list of exercises that most hate, but when completed, are thrilled to see that they have not only made headway, but in the process gained a full understanding of who they are, what they deserve and how to manifest the best in life for themselves.

I talked about making lists, a very, very important part of any inventory. We have four categories of lists that will pretty much cover the most important facets of your existence and your future and how you should expect that future to unfold. These lists will lay out for you exactly where you are and what you need. More importantly, they will show you where to open your head and your heart and give you clues on not only being good to yourself, but in the process, how to be good to others. Pay close attention to each category as you read it and let it resonate within you. Each category has two factions, you’re ‘A’ list and your ‘B’ list and they are as follows:

‘A’ List                                                 ‘B’ List

Great Qualities of Self             Not So Great Qualities of Self To Be Worked On

Things I Deserve                     Things I Don’t Deserve Usually Perpetrated On Me By Others

Things I Absolutely                  Things I Absolutely

Will Allow In My Life                 Will Never Allow In My Life (See Above)

Things I Am Willing                 Things I Am Not Willing

To Give                                      To Give (See Above)

Very simple looking, aren’t they? Well, don’t let them fool you. The categories are pretty self-explanatory, but extraordinarily huge when it comes to character building and really giving you a good Perspective of Self.  As you begin to put together these lists, they grow daily. By that, I mean each day you will think, encounter, or remember something new. Add them to your list in the proper category. This is your basic Yin and Yang exercise and is an incredible tool to help you sort out some of the most complex questions of self.

Keep these lists with you at all times. If you commute, read them instead of reading the newspaper. When lunching by yourself, read them instead of the latest novel. Hey guys, this certainly doesn’t mean that you have to give up those daily crossword puzzles or forever walk away from the news stand.  Just take a few weeks to let these fabulous pieces of literature sink into your skull so you can begin to build a foundation of strength, self-esteem, self-respect, kindness, consideration, and all those good things. Study them hard because they’re all about you.

Next time, we’ll move straight into the obvious subject of “Focusing On Self First.” Pretty important when running a business or working hard on that new career.  Stay tuned.  It’s going to get really meaty from here on in.

Til next time,

Sande D.
