Worthing Councillor Tom Wye resigns

Worthing Borough Council confirms that this morning Tom Wye, Councillor for Marine Ward resigned forthwith.

Tom was elected to represent Marine Ward in May 2003 and continued to represent that ward to date. He was Mayor of Worthing in 2006/07, served on many committees, and was Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing.

Tom had already decided not to stand for re-election in the May 2014 elections.

His Cabinet Member role will be covered in the interim by the Leader of the Council.
