Brighton Offers Final Chance to See Irish Dancing Legend

The Brighton Centre is delighted to confirm that the one and only Michael Flatley will be performing on 2nd April to celebrate the start of the UK tour of Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games.

Michael is performing at only three venues in Britain and two in Ireland so this is an incredible opportunity to see the legendary Irish dancer perform for one last time.

Following a sold out run at the London Palladium in 2014, Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is also returning to the West End at the Dominion Theatre from 13th March and, due to unprecedented demand, Flatley is scheduled to make special appearances from 13th to 24th March, paving the  way for new young superstar James Keegan, who will be performing the lead role of Lord of the Dance.

Flatley will also be returning to the 3 Arena in Dublin and the Odyssey Arena in Belfast at the end of March with his only performance outside of London and Ireland at the Brighton Centre on 2nd April.

Michael Flatley said, “These will be my final performances in the UK and Ireland. After years of punishment, my body just can’t take any more!”

Flatley’s new show Dangerous Games has exciting and ground-breaking new technology, including holographs, dancing robots, world champion acrobats and the greatest team of Irish Dancers in the world. A new score composed by Gerard Fahy, new costumes and special effects lighting add a breath-taking new dimension to the original masterpiece.

The global phenomenon that is Lord of the Dance will be bigger than ever in 2015, with Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games on a 200-plus date tour across 15 countries over the next 18 months. In the UK, the show will be performing concurrently in London at the Dominion Theatre from 13th March to 5th September and on a UK Tour from 2nd April to 4th July.

“My dancers are the real stars,” says Michael of his troupe of dancers, some of whom have been with the company for 10 years. He is immensely proud of their hard work and dedication, and to bring the show back to the West End in the magnificently refurbished Dominion Theatre is a dream come true: “I’ve always dreamed of bringing my show to the West End and the response of the audience when we performed at the Palladium last year was exhilarating. We just had to come back to the West End.  The Dominion is such a fine theatre, its layout is perfect for our type of show.”

Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games appears at the Brighton Centre from April 2nd – 5th and tickets, including those for the opening night of the tour featuring Michael Flatley, are on sale now from the box Office on 0844 847 1515, priced from £40.00. They are also available online at www.brightoncentre.co.uk with further details on the performances at www.lordofthedance.com.
