Field Place Manor House in Worthing has been undergoing a number of improvements over the last 12 months, including the planning of a stunning new wedding garden.
Staff are delighted to announce that the garden is being designed and project managed by Juliet Sargeant, who has won gold at the Chelsea Flower Show. Juliet has over 20 years’ experience of winning awards for her imaginative solutions to complex garden problems and her fabulous design will provide a beautiful backdrop to weddings and a lovely, tranquil addition for our customers and visitors to enjoy for many years to come.
Juliet went on to say “I am delighted to be creating a series of gardens that will be open to everyone and can be enjoyed for its colour and scent all year round.“.
Works will commence at the site in the Boulevard, Worthing, in November 2017 and will run through the winter, with planting taking place in early spring 2018. Once constructed and planted, we will have arches of soft wisteria to walk through, as well as a spectacular outside ceremony space, set within gorgeous white planting. The new outside ceremony area will be licensed for 150 guests, with contingencies in place to utilise the Pavilion Barn in case the weather in inclement.
Director of Business Development at South Downs Leisure, Lynda Nurse, went on to say: “We are delighted to have Juliette designing and managing this project; her vast experience and award winning work means we are getting the right person to create our wonderful new feature. These lovely new gardens are a perfect addition to the beautiful, picturesque grounds of Field Place Manor House and will be a magnificent showpiece for anyone wishing to marry here.”.
We will be hosting a grand unveiling of the new gardens at our next Wedding Showcase event on Sunday 25th February 2018, when everyone is welcome along to marvel in all their splendor. We appreciate that there may be disruption throughout the entire process, and appreciate everyone’s patience whilst works are undertaken.
You will be able to see updates on the ongoing work to the gardens via our Facebook page and even view a live stream of the works on our website: www.fieldplace.co.uk Alternatively, you will be more than welcome to visit the gardens whenever you wish, following their grand opening.
