In what has become a seasonal tradition, the Sovereign Harbour Bertholders Association have presented the crew of Eastbourne lifeboats with a stock of Christmas treats to enjoy on their Boxing Day get-together.
The crew were met on Sunday morning when they returned from their weekly training exercise by representatives from the Bertholders Association, Sue and Roy Sydney and Carol and Peter Holland, bearing gifts of seasonal goodies and extra sustenance for the crew for use on long services at sea. At a brief presentation Lifeboat Coxswain Mark Sawyer thanked the Association for their continued support and wished them safe and enjoyable cruising for the forthcoming year.
