Worthing Welcomes the Queen of the Night

Despite being taken from us all too soon, Whitney Houston’s lasting legacy will always be her fantastic music, and the style and class in which she performed that music is being celebrated in an exciting new theatre show. Currently enjoying a 70 date UK national tour, directly after a very successful run in London, Whitney: Queen of the Night will be performed live, for one night only, at Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre on Saturday 25th March.

Seasoned Theatre Producer Paul Roberts says “I spent many arduous weeks searching the UK for a star in the making who would have the personality and voice to be Whitney. After auditioning hundreds who aspired to the iconic role, I discovered an exceptional young talent in Rebecca Freckleton – and knew instantly that she was the one who could truly portray Whitney – Queen of the Night.”

This award winning production features a stellar line-up with rising West End star Rebecca Freckleton delivering a powerhouse and breathtaking performance as Whitney. Rebecca has toured internationally and worked alongside high profile artistes including Macy Gray, Paloma Faith, The Noisettes and Jools Holland, as well as being one of the leading ladies in the international touring musical ‘The Magic of Motown’.

Rebecca Freckleton stars alongside a talented company of singers and musicians and together they deliver a show packed with all of Whitney’s greatest hits including I Wanna Dance With Somebody, I’m Every Woman, I Will Always Love You, Saving All My Love, Where Do Broken Hearts Go, Greatest Love Of All and many, many more.

Went to the Pavilion Theatre – something of a disappointment as Rebecca’s obvious talent was somewhat ruined by some of the worse sound work I’ve heard – why she thanked the sound engineer God only knows. That coupled with the behaviour of some rather boorish couples desperately trying to hang on to their youth rather took the edge of what promised to be a good evening!
