André Rieu’s 2016 Maastricht concert streamed via satellite to Connaught Cinema for one weekend only

Known to millions as ‘The King of Waltz” André Rieu’s annual Maastricht concert is one of the most eagerly anticipated cinema events of the year, last year setting new box office records in several countries. On 23 and 24 July his biggest concert of 2016 is being streamed via satellite to the Connaught Cinema.

Set against the medieval backdrop of the town square in André’s Dutch hometown, the spectacular Maastricht concert features the maestro in his element, along with his 60-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, sopranos, tenors and very special guests.   André promises, and delivers, an unforgettable musical experience full of humour, fun and emotion for all ages.

Commenting on this year’s event André Rieu said:
“Every year we find ways to make my hometown concerts a unique experience for our audiences in the square, as well as those who watch us in the cinemas. We put a lot of time, energy and love in creating something special, some Maastricht magic”.

This year audience members from across the world can get in involved by submitting their questions to André Rieu prior to the show, an exclusive for cinema audiences who have booked their ticket. CinemaLive’s host Charlotte Hawkins conducts an interview with Andre immediately after his performance and questions can be submitted by visiting askandre.andrerieu.com.
