Seaford Town Council welcomes new Projects and Facilities Manager Craig Williams on board

Seaford Town Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Williams as the Councils new Projects and Facilities Manager. Craig brings a wealth of experience gained through a working career in the Facilities management sector. This has included working for Hilton Hotels and the Prestigious Pennyhill Park Hotel where he oversaw several significant projects including project managing the construction of the England Rugby training facility there. More recently Craig was working at Brighton Pier managing the maintenance of the structure.

Craig arrives at a time of significant change and innovation at the Council as it embarks upon its most ambitious programme of development since its inception in 1999. Seaford Town Council recently adopted its key strategic priorities for the next three years after presenting them to the public at the Annual Town meeting. These include developing the cultural and economic well-being of the town through projects such as the improvement of the seafront and its facilities, developing South Hill Barn for sympathetic commercial use, new seafront Public Conveniences, installation of log cabins for holiday makers and additional beach huts on the seafront.

Also to improve the environment of the town by improving all the Council owned open spaces and managing Seaford Head Nature reserve in accordance with a new management plan for the site.

In addition, the Town Council will be looking to improve its recreation facilities in the Town including a regeneration of the Salts followed by The Crouch and Martello Fields.

Craig and his newly appointed team members Emily Piper and Lyn Collins will play key roles in delivering the many projects as well as looking after all the Councils assets and organising Council led events such as Christmas Magic and Armed Forces day.

Town Clerk James Corrigan said, “Craig is a superb addition to our team and has made an immediate impact, Seaford will be the beneficiary of his and the rest of the Council’s team of committed and skilled workforce over the coming few years. These promise to be very exciting for everyone.”
