Sunday Afternoons of Music and Mirth in Eastbourne

0

Organist and entertainer John Mann returns to the Winter Gardens, Eastbourne for his 36th summer season, starting on Sunday 14th May at 2.30pm. John has been tinkling the ivories at the Winter Gardens since 1981. He is a unique performer with an easy stage presence and this show is a delightful mixture of comedy and sheer musicianship combined to create an afternoon of music and mirth.

The John Mann Music Show features a catalogue of favourite tunes from the 50’s and 60’s. This golden era of music is celebrated by John as he deftly switches between the Grand Piano and his own Eminent Theatre Organ to perform with natural ease. A video screen displays John’s hands sprinting around the keys as well as giving some clever visual enhancements to the music.

The show also features some of John’s wholesome comedy skits and a dazzling selection of waistcoats!

The majestic setting of the Floral Hall makes a perfect environment for an enjoyable afternoon of fine live music and John’s irrepressible and cheerful presenting style. Melodic tunes interwoven with his friendly banter make The John Mann Music Show musical nostalgia at its best.

The John Mann Music Show appears at the Winter Gardens, Floral Hall, Eastbourne on the following Sundays: 14th May, 18th June and 16th July, all at 2.30pm. Tickets are priced at £7 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01323 412000 or online at www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk.
