‘Charity Champion’ undertakes new role

Community Transport for the Lewes Area (CTLA) is very pleased to add a ‘Charity Champion’ to its ranks with the appointment of Paula Woolven as Community and Fundraising Manager.
Paula has been recognised recently in a national award scheme for people who dedicate their time to charity and fundraising and was rewarded for her long term commitment to community volunteering for organisations which currently include Seaford Musical Theatre Juniors and DaSH Junior Football Club.
Paula said “I first became aware of CTLA when I made a group booking for my charity theatre class for young people and was really pleased with their service and the friendly driver they provided. When I looked into their organisation further, I was so impressed with their dedication to providing affordable, accessible transport for people who find it difficult to access normal forms of transport. I didn’t hesitate to apply for the position when it was advertised. I know that I will be working with great volunteers and staff at the CTLA.”
Operations Manager, Derek Barnett, said-
“We are delighted that Paula has joined us. I am certain that her enthusiasm and experience will be a real asset for us. I expect Paula to play a vital role for us by improving our fund raising capabilities that will ensure we can reach out to our local community and satisfy the ever increasing demand for our services.”
