The $64,000 dollar question is, are we going to trip over the last hurdle and crash on another lockdown. Opening the gates to travelling abroad could spell a disaster waiting in the wings! As we all know Covid-19 is certainly not going away and in India there is a chaotic problem which their government is unable to control or find an answer to with in excess of 400,000 cases every day and Joe Public in the United Kingdom is straining at the leash to get away on holiday overseas! I wonder if it is wise to be so callous and unthinking that while we are hoping for better things to happen when another country is suffering and it only takes one person to spark another pandemic that would cause another lockdown.
The problem is that people in this country, I have found out to my surprise, are so impatient and selfish and whatever the instructions, they are in the habit of going their own way with the thought “It won’t happen to my family!” Maybe not but it might happen to another family that might be following in the same lane and hence the phrase “I’m alright Jack!”
Local Elections
Local elections happening all over the UK and the plutocratic persons that foot the bill for the Conservatives are active with backing their prodigies to make sure that other political parties do not get into the driving seat because they are frightened if another party does get in they may find out they have to pay another tax usually aimed at Senior Citizens. Plutocratic is such an interesting word especially the Pluto part as it always reminds me of Disney’s Mickey Mouse who govern the United Kingdom!
You Got Mail!
Sorry to pinch a film title, but it does bring home the farce of the computer programme that caused thirty nine people to lose their livelihood, their freedom, their self-respect and worse still close relatives, their neighbourhood who didn’t understand their torment and probably in some cases believed they were guilty. Taking TEN YEARS to solve the problem when the programmers knew the system was faulty and the management ignoring this should be arrested and sent to prison. Also what of the Royal Mail that changed its name to CONSIGNIA at a cost of TWO MILLION POUNDS and then shelved it after TWO YEARS. Surely this must be due to bad management and of course it is another load for the tax payers.
