Just because the government haven’t bothered to give out figures of how many persons have not been admitted to hospitals and those that have passed away doesn’t mean it is safe to go out and it doesn’t mean we have to break the ruling of the two metre gap. I do believe it is far too soon to make any rash decisions and I know the prime Minister has a difficult time in decision making but hearing of new outbreaks in other countries who thought they had seen the last of this virus and knowing how easily it can spread from one country to another – there is no point in making too many plans to bring the people out of their homes into dangerous areas, especially persons who have underlying medical problems.
I can see other dangers with the economy and wanting to get back to some normality, but it only takes one spark to start a fire and senior citizens such as myself become wary and especially when we or those in Care Homes are accused of starting a landslide of Covid-19 of epidemic proportions.
It seems to be the same old story – the government are looking for a “SCAPEGOAT” to blame. Perhaps with hindsight they could have issued the same instructions to Care Homes at the same time as the NHS and also issued the necessary protective clothing as well and perhaps those Carers wouldn’t have experienced the heavy loss of life. It must have been frustrating for them to fight an unseen enemy, knowing without the right equipment they were putting themselves in danger as well as the persons they were looking after.
How easily is it for children to catch every known medical condition going? Whether they will be following the rules or are tempted to be boys and girls being different and wanting to test their vulnerability to Covid-19 without knowing in some cases how life threatening this disease is and going back to school is, at the moment with new cases on the horizon be like playing “Russian Roulette” with their lives!
